Heading out into Knight Inlet, the current is currently flowing west against a stiff westerly breeze, a recipe for unpleasant conditions. I’ll see what things look like when I enter the channel and decide weather to turn west or east, which will determine what the rest of the week will look like for me.

As the adage dictates, “gentlemen never sail to weather”. Thus bound by honour, I shut off the engine, pop the Genoa, and surrender to the East.
