I thought I would have to tuck in somewhere along the way and wait for the tide to change, as I set out in all odds against the current. But for most of the way I seemed to luck out and catch back eddies that pushed me along, much to my surprise. That changed though as I passed Cormorant Island and was also pushing into a freshening westerly, I was reduced to 4 knots, but that was ok, I chugged along through the rain and hail. It’s been a hail of a day.
